Mrs. Julie Zaunbrecher Champagne

Our first Spotlight Alumni is our very own Middle School Principal, Mrs. Julie Zaunbrecher Champagne. Mrs. Champagne attended SGS from 1st-6th grade. At the time, St. Genevieve only went up to the 6th grade. She finished in 1974 where she then continued on to Teurlings and from there the University of Southwestern Louisiana. We were blessed to have Mrs. Champagne return to SGS in 2004 as one of our dedicated and compassionate leaders. Sister Bernard Marie was the Principal at SGS when Mrs. Champagne attended and she laughs about how different it was back then in contrast to the way things are now. She loves calling St. Genevieve home again and is very happy to be back. Mrs. Champagne is married to Russell Champagne of Breaux Bridge, and they have 3 children, Emily, Ross, and Marie. She enjoys spending time with her family and is always supporting St. Genevieve in any way she can. She is truly an amazing administrator, leader, and Alum.
